Confused about what tool you should be using? EndNote Online (web) or EndNote Desktop?
We recommend that Strathclyde University undergraduate and taught postgraduate students use EndNote Online (web) as it is free to use both on or off campus and can still be used after you graduate.
EndNote basic is a limited online version that you can use after you graduate and has 21 styles.. This is the version without the institutional subscription to Web of Science and is freely available to everyone. You can change your email address to a personal address. Choose Options then E-mail Address.
Research students and staff may want to use EndNote destop or both EndNote desktop and EndNote Online. EndNote desktop can be downloaded for free to your PC/Mac or laptop and is available on the lab PCs. If you leave Strathclyde, you must remove all installations of EndNote desktop or purchase it.
