New Students: Printing, photocopying, scanning

A guide to using the Library for new students

Printing, photocopying and scanning

You can collect your plastic print card from the any Enquiry desk in the Library. Your new card includes £1 of free print credit. The first time you use your card you need to link it to your DS account. You use this card for printing and photocopying.

Select print options from the documents menu from a university PC and choose the print setting. The default is black-and-white-double-sided. Go to the nearest print station, scan your card and select the job(s) you would like to print and press 'Print'.

You can top-up your print card online or using the self-service kiosk on Level 3 of the Library next to the self-issue kiosks. There is no charge for scanning.

See student printing for further help. Printing and copying instructions are also displayed next to each print/copy device.
