You have now reached the final stage of the publication timeline and your research output has been published online. It is common practice for publishers to publish articles online in advance of inclusion in an issue (sometimes referred to as 'early view' or 'online first'). Key steps at this final stage include updating the Pure record with the date of first publication and checking the dataset record for completeness. Where the gold Open Access route has been selected, publishers may sometimes wait for payment of the Article Processing Charge (APC) before releasing the article.
Update the Pure record with the date of first publication and the DOI (if available)
If you selected the Gold Open Access route, you can now upload the final published version of your research output (often referred to as the 'version of record') to the Pure record
Once you have updated the Pure record with the further publication details, submit the record for 're-validation'. The Open Access team check the updated information and then validate the record
