Many users are seeing a Stale Request error message when trying to access Mendeley. Strathclyde do not have a subscription to Mendeley, but we know that the problem is also affecting other Universities. Elsevier/Mendeley support are aware of and are investigating the issue. In the meantime, you may wish to try the following workaround suggestions. These have enabled access for some (but not all) users:
- Use the Mendeley web-browser version (rather than the desktop app). If you have an individual Mendeley account, we suggest trying to sign in with this first, rather than using the 'sign in via your organization' option.
- Some users have been able to clear the error message in Mendeley desktop by selecting 'Reset Mendeley' from the help menu, or by uninstalling and reinstalling the app; and can then sign in using an individual Mendeley account.
