Are you struggling with referencing for your assignments? Do you want to enhance your referencing skills? Have you heard about the EndNote reference management tool but don't know how to use it? Our popular Referencing Week sessions are here to help you master the art of referencing.
Many students find referencing challenging. Different referencing styles like Harvard, OSCOLA or APA each have their own set of rules. But don't worry. We know that referencing is a crucial academic skill, and we're here to help you get it right.
This month, we're dedicating an entire week to help you understand referencing better. Referencing Week runs once each semester, in October and February. During Referencing Week we offer referencing classes online and in-person. Classes covering a wide range of topics related to referencing.
Elaine, our Science Faculty Librarian, will be leading some of the sessions. Elaine says, "Referencing is something many people struggle with. These short, informal classes are a way for students to learn more about referencing and how to do it right. Sessions start with the basics of what referencing is and why we have to do it. Later sessions explore different referencing styles and management software.
"We’ll explain how you can find out how to reference different sources, such as books and TV programmes. We even have a session all about staying on the right side of copyright law."
Don't miss out on this opportunity to improve your referencing skills!
