The Nook is our Library wellbeing space, designed as a cosy space to escape from stressful times. It is on Level 3 of the Library and is available for use whenever the Library is open.
We know that life on campus can sometimes be overwhelming. We created a welcoming, calming space for anyone using the Library to take some time out. We worked with colleagues from other University support services to establish our own little oasis of calm.
The Nook has comfortable seating and ambient lighting. There are a range of resources more typically seen in a living room than a Library. We have a selection of jigsaws, puzzles, board games, a book swap, Lego, crafting and colouring. The chess board remains the most popular attraction. You can leave messages of support for each other on the whiteboard.

We encourage feedback from our community. The responses we have received show that The Nook is very important to so many Library users. We love to see people doing the community jigsaws or swapping books.
