As Semester 1 gets underway you might be wondering where to find materials for your new modules. Many lecturers use online reading lists to recommend books, articles, and other useful materials to read.
Our reading lists give you quick and easy access to your readings. The list will link to electronic books, articles and websites, videos and digitised chapters. It will also show the location and live availability of print books.
Is there a reading list for my class?
Try going via your class Myplace page. There should be a blue jigsaw piece link somewhere on your page if there is. It will look like this:

If you don’t find a reading list link or the link leads to an error message it is possible your lecturer has not set a list up. Ask them in the first instance. Not all lecturers will choose to have a list here.
More information on how to make the most of your reading lists is available on our Reading Lists @ Strathclyde (Students) LibGuide. Discover useful features such as how to:
- mark broken links
- tick off resources you have read
- export your list
- suggest resources to your lecturer
