IBISWorld - UK’s most comprehensive collection of Industry Market Research and Industry Risk Ratings.

Vlearn is a  new ‘free access’ study resource for business and management students providing access to video material on a wide range of business and economic topics by  academics, leaders and entrepreneurs. 

You have campus-wide access to the Hoovers database which provides information about international companies, industries, and people with data on more than 85 million corporations, 100 million people, and 1,000 industries worldwide.

Library terminology

What does it mean? A guide to Library jargon.

A

Abstract: An outline or summary of a document – for example a book, article, dissertation or thesis. Use it to decide whether or not you would like to read the complete work.

Account: See ‘Library Account’

Archives: Items and records acquired by the University. Includes the University Archives (the official records of the University of Strathclyde from 1796 to the present day) and Deposited Archives (various items and documents acquired by gift or deposit to support the University’s teaching and research).
