The English Reports was issued in 178 volumes between 1900 and 1932, reprinting ‘nominate’ reports covering the period 1220 - 1865. Cases can be referred to by either English Report citation (e.g. 40 Eng Rep 180) or Nominative citation (e.g. 13 Moo 11).
On the Welcome page under ‘Subscribed Libraries’, select ‘English Reports’, then ‘English Reports, Full Reprint (1220-1867)’. You can then choose to perform a simple ‘Case Locator’ search or ‘Browse’ the reports.
In the search box, enter the case name, case citation, or key words.
Select the relevant search: ‘Case Name’, ‘English Reports Citation’, ‘Nominative Citation’, or ‘Key Word Search’.
Select ‘Locate’.
To view the full text of the report, select the blue English Reports citation or select from the download options.
Under ‘Browse’, select ‘English Reports Full Reprint’.
Select volumes, then use the +/- to navigate to an individual case.
Select a page to view the full-text of a case (or choose the PDF icon to download/print).
